California High School Football - Rio Mesa falls to Thousand Oaks

October 17, 2025: Oxnard, CA 93036

The Thousand Oaks Lancers were victorious over the host Rio Mesa Spartans football team by a score of 21-13 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA) in a Conejo Coast challenge, on Friday, October 24. Thousand Oaks will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 29-23 league loss to Westlake (Westlake Village, CA).

With the defeat, Rio Mesa drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Calabasas (Calabasas, CA) to clash with the Coyotes in a Conejo Coast test on Friday, October 24. The Coyotes come into the test with a record of 4-4. Calabasas won 51-34 in their recent league test against Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA)
