The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans football team (St. Joseph, IL), was tipped 39-36 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL)

The Fighting Irish (8-0) will now prepare for their contest against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Indians/Lady Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Carlyle was nudged by Wesclin (Trenton, IL), 34-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Spartans battle the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Friday, October 24. St. Joseph-Ogden will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 48-21 league loss to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL).
