Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX), 63-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Silsbee improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A-2 Region III District 9 test on Friday, October 24. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 4-3. West Orange-Stark won 42-6 in their recent league test against Shepherd (Shepherd, TX)

With the defeat, Tarkington drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX) to meet the Longhorns in a 4A-2 Region III District 9 test on Friday, October 24. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 5-2. Hamshire-Fannett won 35-12 in their recent league test against Jasper (Jasper, TX)
