In Friday's non-league match, the host Thornwood Thunderbirds football squad scored a decisive 40-0 victory over the Stagg Chargers.

The Thunderbirds (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Thornridge (Dolton, IL). The Falcons enter the Southland match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Thornridge was routed by Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL), 63-19, in a league match.
