The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Tunkhannock Tigers (Tunkhannock, PA) and the host Towanda Black Knights (Towanda, PA), witnessed Tunkhannock's football team nip Towanda by a final score of 34-27.

With the win, Tunkhannock advances its record to 4-5 on the season. The Tigers host Berwick (Berwick, PA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Wyoming Valley 2 bout on Friday, October 24. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Berwick won 56-0 in their recent non-league bout against Selinsgrove (Selinsgrove, PA)

The Black Knights now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Wyalusing Valley for a PIAA District IV bout on Friday, October 24. Towanda will encounter a Rams team coming off a 28-6 non-league loss to Hughesville (Hughesville, PA). The Rams record now stands at 2-7.
