The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm (Sauk Rapids, MN) football edged the visiting Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN), 35-28 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Storm face the Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN) in a Northstar - West Gold bout, on Saturday, October 28. Sauk Rapids-Rice will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record.

The Spuds (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN). The Sabres enter the Northstar - North bout with a 0-9 record. In their last bout, Sartell-St. Stephen was nudged by Park Center (Brooklyn Park, MN), 28-6, in a non-league bout.
