October 18, 2024: Salem, OR 97301 Colton Vikings (Colton, OR) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR), 53-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Colton advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Regis (Stayton, OR) to play the Rams in a 2A Special District 2 (9 Man) battle on Friday, October 25. The Rams go into the battle with a record of 3-4. Regis lost 64-0 in their recent league battle against Gervais (Gervais, OR)
The Crusaders now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Sheridan/Sheridan Japanese for a non-league battle on Friday, October 25. Salem Academy will play a Spartans team coming off a 80-0 non-league win over Vernonia (Vernonia, OR). The Spartans record now stands at 6-0.
