Arizona High School Football - Corona del Sol can't hold off Mountain Pointe

Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), 42-37 in a league battle.

With the win, Mountain Pointe improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Pride host Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to play the Lancers in a 6A Central battle on Friday, October 25. The Lancers go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Salpointe Catholic lost 34-24 in their recent non-league battle against Liberty (Peoria, AZ)

The Aztecs now have a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Brophy College Prep for a 6A Central battle on Thursday, October 24. Corona del Sol will play a Broncos team coming off a 51-10 league win over Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ). The Broncos record now stands at 6-1.
