October 18, 2024: Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 The Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) football knocked off the visiting Derry Trojans (Derry, PA), 31-14 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Vikings now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Elizabeth Forward for a WPIAL AAA Interstate outing on Friday, October 25. Mt. Pleasant will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 31-3 league win over Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-3.
With the defeat, Derry drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Yough (Herminie, PA) to clash with the Cougars in a WPIAL AAA Interstate outing on Friday, October 25. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 2-7. Yough lost 37-8 in their recent league outing against Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA)
