The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Lake Placid Dragons (Lake Placid, FL) and the host DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL), witnessed Lake Placid's football squad knock off DeSoto County by a tally of 54-29.

The Dragons (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Avon Park (Avon Park, FL). The Red Devils enter the 2A District 7 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Avon Park was toppled by Discovery (Lake Alfred, FL), 13-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs battle the Hardee Wildcats (Wauchula, FL) in a 3A District 12 contest, on Friday, October 25. DeSoto County will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 16-14 non-league win over North Port (North Port, FL).
