October 18, 2024: East Greenwich, RI 02818 Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI), 26-7 in a league battle.
With the win, Johnston improves its record to 2-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI) to play the Patriots in a Division III battle on Friday, October 25. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Pilgrim won 31-23 in their recent league battle against Classical (Providence, RI)
The Avengers now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rogers for a Division III battle on Friday, October 25. East Greenwich will play a Vikings team coming off a 49-7 league loss to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Vikings record now stands at 4-2.
