Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), 28-17 in a league battle.

With the win, Grassfield advances its record to 2-5 on the season. The Grizzlies host Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to play the Warriors in a Southeastern battle on Friday, October 25. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 5-2. Nansemond River won 28-21 in their recent league battle against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA)

The Hawks now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeland for a Southeastern battle on Friday, October 25. Hickory will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 57-0 league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-5.
