October 18, 2024: Louisa, KY 41230 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Lawrence County Bulldogs (Louisa, KY) and the visiting Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), witnessed Lawrence County's football squad wallop Powell County by a tally of 48-13.
The Bulldogs (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Boyd County (Ashland, KY). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Boyd County crushed Rowan County (Morehead, KY), 49-13, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Pirates battle the Belfry Pirates (Belfry, KY) in a 3A District 8 contest, on Friday, October 25. Powell County will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 42-6 league win over Estill County (Irvine, KY).
