The Nemaha Central Thunder felled the visiting Royal Valley Panthers football team by a score of 40-16 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Thunder play the Atchison County Tigers (Effingham, KS) in a Freelance challenge, on Friday, October 25. Nemaha Central will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 29-6 non-league loss to Jefferson West (Meriden, KS).

The Panthers (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, KS). The Bears go into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Oskaloosa lost by Sabetha (Sabetha, KS), 49-6, in a non-league challenge.
