Virginia High School Football - Poquoson sneaks past Smithfield
October 18, 2024: Smithfield, VA 23430 The Poquoson Islanders football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Smithfield Packers to 31 in the Islanders league triumph on Friday.
The Islanders now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host New Kent for a Bay Rivers test on Thursday, October 24. Poquoson will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 14-9 league win over York (Yorktown, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-4.
With the defeat, Smithfield drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Packers travel to Warhill (Williamsburg, VA) to meet the Lions in a Bay Rivers test on Thursday, October 24. The Lions come into the test with a record of 3-4. Warhill won 30-20 in their recent league test against Grafton (Yorktown, VA)
