Kentucky High School Football - Scott County can't hold off Woodford County
October 18, 2024: Georgetown, KY 40324 Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY), 38-35 in a league battle.
With the win, Woodford County advances its record to 7-1 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY) to play the Bearcats in a 5A District 5 battle on Friday, October 25. The Bearcats go into the battle with a record of 4-5. Anderson County lost 42-28 in their recent league battle against Collins (Shelbyville, KY)
The Cardinals now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Boyle County for a non-league battle on Monday, October 21. Scott County will play a Rebels team coming off a 41-0 league win over Lincoln County (Stanford, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 8-0.
