October 18, 2024: North Smithfield, RI 02896 North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Davies Career & Tech Patriots (Lincoln, RI), 5-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, North Smithfield moves its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Northmen host Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI) to meet the Chieftains in a Division 2 test on Tuesday, October 22. The Chieftains come into the test with a record of 10-5. Ponaganset won 5-2 in their recent non-league test against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI)
The Patriots now sport a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln School for a Division 4 test on Monday, October 21. Davies Career & Tech will meet a Lynx team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Lynx record now stands at 8-4.
