Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT) boosters were content Saturday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 35-28 in a league match.

The Wildcats (2-3) will now prepare for their match against East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Vikings come into the Eastern Connecticut I match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, East Lyme tipped New London (New London, CT), 45-14, in a league battle.

The Falcons now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Killingly for a Eastern Connecticut I battle on Thursday, October 23. Fitch will play a Trailbazers team coming off a 42-7 non-league win over Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Trailbazers record now stands at 5-0.
