October 18, 2025: North Bellmore, NY 11710 The Mepham Pirates (North Bellmore, NY) football were winner over the visiting New Hyde Park Memorial Gladiators (New Hyde Park, NY), 31-0 in Saturday's league outing.
The Pirates now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Baldwin for a Section 8 Conference II game on Saturday, October 25. Mepham will face a Bruins team coming off a 35-16 league loss to East Meadow (East Meadow, NY). The Bruins record now stands at 3-3.
The Gladiators (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Kennedy (Bellmore, NY). The Cougars enter the Section 8 Conference IV game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Kennedy notched a victory over Roslyn/Friends Academy (Roslyn Heights, NY), 49-14, in a non-league game.
