Illinois High School Football - Waubonsie Valley can't hold off Lincoln-Way Central
October 18, 2025: New Lenox, IL 60451 Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL), 28-27 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Lincoln-Way Central improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL) to meet the Raptors in a non-league test on Thursday, October 23. The Raptors come into the test with a record of 3-5. Rich Township won 18-0 in their recent non-league test against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)
With the defeat, Waubonsie Valley drops to 6-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host DeKalb (DeKalb, IL) to play the Barbs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 23. The Barbs go into the challenge with a record of 0-5.
