Appleton East Patriots (Appleton, WI) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Shawano Community Hawks (Shawano, WI), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Appleton East improves its record to 12-24 on the season. The Patriots host Kaukauna (Kaukauna, WI) to meet the Galloping Ghosts in a Fox Valley challenge on Thursday, October 23. The Galloping Ghosts enter the challenge with a record of 8-23. Kaukauna lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Sevastopol (Sturgeon Bay, WI)

Next, the Hawks meet the Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 21. Shawano Community will attempt to upgrade on its 15-20 season record. The Bluejays enter the challenge with a 15-15 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Lakeland (Minocqua, WI).
