October 18, 2025: Champaign, IL 61822 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Galena Pirates volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the St. Thomas More Sabers.
The Pirates (26-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hartsburg-Emden (Hartsburg, IL). The Stags come into the non-league challenge with a 24-4 record. In their last challenge, Hartsburg-Emden beat Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.
Next, the Sabers play the Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 18. St. Thomas More will attempt to upgrade on its 21-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 24-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Auburn (Auburn, IL).
