October 19, 2022: Courtland, VA 23837 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) and the host Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA), saw Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's volleyball squad beat Southampton Academy by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Saints travel to Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA) to play the Mighty Oaks in a bout on Thursday, October 20. The Mighty Oaks go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Norfolk Collegiate won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Norfolk Christian (Norfolk, VA)
The Raiders now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Fuqua for a bout on Thursday, October 27. Southampton Academy will play a Falcons squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-3.
