The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) and the visiting Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN), observed R-S Central's football squad defeat Cloudland by a count of 41-28.

The Hilltoppers now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Chase for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills contest on Friday, October 27. R-S Central will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 59-0 league win over Patton (Morganton, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 6-3.
