Polk County Wildcats (Benton, TN) fans left the game content Thursday as they saw their football team nip the host Sweetwater Wildcats (Sweetwater, TN), 29-28 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Polk County improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to York Institute (Jamestown, TN) to battle the Dragons in a 2A Region 2 test on Friday, October 27. The Dragons come into the test with a record of 9-0. York Institute won 40-7 in their recent league test against Wartburg Central (Wartburg, TN)

With the loss, Sweetwater drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Brainerd (Chattanooga, TN) to battle the Panthers in a 3A Region 3 test on Thursday, October 26. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 3-6. Brainerd lost 49-20 in their recent league test against Meigs County (Decatur, TN)
