North Carolina High School Football - Dixon drops to Croatan
October 19, 2023: Holly Ridge, NC 28445 In Thursday's non-league game, the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) football team knocked off the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), by a final score of 40-14.
The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their game against West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, West Carteret toppled Swansboro (Swansboro, NC), 32-20, in a non-league game.
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richlands for a non-league game on Thursday, October 26. Dixon will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 18-8 non-league win over White Oak (Jacksonville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-2.
