The Oceanside (NY) varsity football team won Saturday's home conference game against East Meadow (NY) by a score of 42-14.
The Oceanside Sailors football squad scored 42 points and limited the visiting East Meadow Jets to 14 in the Sailors league triumph on Saturday.
The Sailors now hold a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Farmingdale for a Section 8 Conference I test on Friday, October 25. Oceanside will meet a Dalers squad coming off a 42-14 league win over Freeport (Freeport, NY). The Dalers record now stands at 5-1.
With the defeat, East Meadow drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Jets host Valley Stream Central (Valley Stream, NY) to meet the Eagles in a Section 8 Conference I test on Saturday, October 26. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-4. Valley Stream Central lost 42-6 in their recent league test against Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (Plainview, NY)
