October 19, 2024: Middletown, RI 02842 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) and the host Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI), saw Cranston East's soccer squad hold off Middletown by a count of 2-1.
The Thunderbolts (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Scituate (North Scituate, RI). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Scituate tipped Smithfield (Esmond, RI), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Islanders battle the Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 22. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
