October 2, 2021: Dixon, IL 61021 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the host Dixon Dukes & Duchesses (Dixon, IL), saw Metamora's volleyball squad beat Dixon by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Metamora upgrades its record to 22-0 on the year. The Redbirds host Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to play the Rockets in a Mid-Illini bout on Tuesday, October 5. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Limestone lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Washington (Washington, IL)
The Dukes & Duchesses now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Erie-Prophetstown for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 2. Dixon will play a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Orion (Orion, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-13.
