New York High School Soccer - Mechanicville knocks off Scotia-Glenville
October 2, 2024: Scotia, NY 12302 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY) and the host Scotia-Glenville Tartans (Scotia, NY), saw Mechanicville's soccer squad prevail over Scotia-Glenville by a count of 5-1.
The Red Raiders (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hoosic Valley (Schaghticoke, NY). The Indians enter the Wasaren battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Hoosic Valley by Greenwich (Greenwich, NY), 4-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Tartans confront the Gloversville Huskies/Dragons (Gloversville, NY) in a Foothills Council- North battle, on Tuesday, October 8. Scotia-Glenville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Huskies/Dragons enter the battle with a 0-8 record after their 5-0 league loss to Glens Falls (Glens Falls, NY).
