Minnesota High School Soccer - Hermantown nudges Duluth East
October 2, 2024: Hermantown, MN 55811 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN) and the visiting Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN), saw Hermantown's soccer squad hold off Duluth East by a score of 2-1.
The Hawks (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Denfeld (Duluth, MN). The Hunters go into the Class A Section 7 challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Denfeld nudged Princeton (Princeton, MN), 1-0, in a league challenge.
With the loss, Duluth East moves to 5-6 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Centennial (Circle Pines, MN) to encounter the Cougars in a Class AAA Section 7 challenge on Saturday, October 5. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Centennial 2-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN)
