October 2, 2024: Danielsville, GA 30633 Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), 14-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Madison County improves its record to 11-11 on the year. The Red Raiders host Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA) to face the Warriors in a 4A Region 8 game on Thursday, October 3. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 9-13. Walnut Grove won 8-0 in their recent league game against Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA)
The Warriors now hold a 5-20 record. They play next when they host East Hall for a 3A Region 8 game on Thursday, October 3. Oconee County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 10-17.
