October 2, 2024: Newburgh, NY 12550 Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newburgh Free Academy improves its record to 7-5 on the season. The Goldbacks host Valley Central (Montgomery, NY) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league test on Monday, October 7. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 8-4. Valley Central lost 3-1 in their recent league test against Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY)
The Dukes now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rondout Valley for a MHAL test on Tuesday, October 8.
