Campbellsville Eagles (Campbellsville, KY) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the host Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY), 48-42 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Campbellsville advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Holy Cross (Louisville, KY) to play the Cougars in a 1A District 2 battle on Friday, October 17. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 4-2.

Coming up next, the Falcons confront the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) in a 2A District 3 match, on Friday, October 17. Monroe County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Briar Jumpers come into the match with a 6-1 record after their 49-6 league win over Clinton County (Albany, KY).
