The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets edged the visiting Livonia Wildcats football team by a score of 44-37 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Hornets now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Central for a 1A District 5 test on Friday, October 10. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will clash with a Hurricanes squad coming off a 34-21 league win over Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Livonia drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA) to face the Cardinals in a non-league game on Friday, October 10. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 5-0.
