The Westmoreland Eagles were winner over the host West Point Pointers football squad by a margin of 34-17 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Eagles now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Essex for a Northern Neck test on Friday, October 10.

With the defeat, West Point drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Pointers host Middlesex (Saluda, VA) to face the Chargers in a Tidewater game on Friday, October 10. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 2-4. Middlesex lost 43-24 in their recent non-league game against Northampton (Eastville, VA)
