Georgia High School Football - Oglethorpe County can't hold off Putnam County
October 2, 2025: Eatonton, GA 31024 Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), 26-19 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Putnam County advances its record to 1-0 on the season.
The Patriots now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Madison County for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. Oglethorpe County will play a Red Raiders team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Franklin County (Carnesville, GA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
