New York High School Volleyball - Ithaca can't get by Corning-Painted Post West
October 2, 2025: Painted Post, NY 14870 Corning-Painted Post West Vikings (Painted Post, NY) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Ithaca Little Red (Ithaca, NY), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Corning-Painted Post West advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vikings host Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY) to face the Tigers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-1.
The Little Red now sport a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Penn-Liberty for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 4. Ithaca will play a Mountie team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Towanda (Towanda, PA). The Mountie record now stands at 7-7.
