The Eastern Mennonite Flames topped the visiting Virginia Episcopal School Bishops volleyball team by a margin of 3-1 in Thursday's league outing.

The Flames now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Roanoke Catholic for a VISAA Blue Ridge outing on Tuesday, October 7. Eastern Mennonite will play a Celtics team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 1-12.

With the defeat, Virginia Episcopal School moves to 3-6 on the season. The Bishops travel to Carlisle (Axton, VA) to confront the Chiefs in a VISAA Division 3 game on Tuesday, October 7. The Chiefs go into the game with a record of 1-6.
