October 20, 2022: Newport, NC 28570 The Croatan Cougars football team (Newport, NC), was knocked off 20-10 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC)
The Bulldogs (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Richlands was knocked off by White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 42-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host West Carteret for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 27. Croatan will meet a Patriots team coming off a 22-6 non-league win over Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-3.
