Ohio High School Soccer - Rootstown held off by Independence
October 20, 2022: Independence, OH 44131 The Independence Blue Devils held off the visiting Rootstown Rovers soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league match.
The Blue Devils now sport a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Berkshire for a non-league match on Tuesday, October 25. Independence will encounter a Badgers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Aquinas (Louisville, OH). The Badgers record now stands at 14-3.
With the loss, Rootstown drops to 9-8 on the season.
