In Thursday's non-league contest, the Trinidad Miners (Trinidad, CO) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Sierra Grande Panthers (Blanca, CO), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Miners battle the Sargent Farmers (Monte Vista, CO) in a 2A Southern Peaks contest, on Saturday, October 22. Trinidad will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Farmers go into the contest with a 10-10 record after their 3-2 league loss to Buena Vista (Buena Vista, CO).

With the loss, Sierra Grande moves to 7-11 on the year. The Panthers host Cotopaxi (Cotopaxi, CO) to battle the Pirates in a non-league contest on Friday, October 21.
