In Friday's non-league game, the Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA) football team knocked off the host Basile Bearcats (Basile, LA), by a score of 22-14.

The Red Devils (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Iota (Iota, LA). The Bulldogs come into the 3A District 4 game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Iota toppled Mamou (Mamou, LA), 57-0, in a league game.
