The Parkland Matadors football team (El Paso, TX), was tipped 48-42 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX)

The Highlanders (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions come into the 5A-1 Region I District 1 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Horizon was tipped by Ysleta (El Paso, TX), 41-7, in a league challenge.

The Matadors now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Hanks for a 5A-1 Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, October 27. Parkland will meet a Knights team coming off a 49-16 league loss to Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Knights record now stands at 5-3.
