Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA), 41-35 in a league test.

With the triumph, Deer Lakes improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Lancers host Freeport (Freeport, PA) to battle the Yellowjackets in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 6 test on Friday, October 27. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 3-6. Freeport won 27-0 in their recent league test against Valley (New Kensington, PA)

With the loss, Shady Side Academy drops to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA) to battle the Wild Cats in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 6 test on Friday, October 27. The Wild Cats come into the test with a record of 7-2. East Allegheny won 14-13 in their recent league test against Knoch (Saxonburg, PA)
