The crowd at Friday's league contest between the McDonald County Mustangs (Anderson, MO) and the host East Newton Patriots (Granby, MO), observed McDonald County's football squad defeat East Newton by a count of 40-14.

The Mustangs now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Marshfield for a non-league contest on Friday, October 28. McDonald County will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 38-7 league win over Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO). The Bluejays record now stands at 5-4.
