The Junction City Bluejays thwarted the host Emporia Spartans football team by a count of 53-36 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Junction City upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Bluejays host South (Wichita, KS) to encounter the Titans in a non-league outing on Friday, October 28. The Titans go into the outing with a record of 3-5. South won 37-12 in their recent non-league outing against West (Wichita, KS)

With the loss, Emporia moves to 1-7 on the season. The Spartans travel to Highland Park (Topeka, KS) to encounter the Scots in a non-league outing on Friday, October 28.
