October 21, 2022: Pilgrims Knob, VA 24634 In Friday's league match, the visiting Rye Cove Eagles football squad scored a close 2-0 victory over the Twin Valley Panthers.
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) in a Cumberland match, on Friday, October 28. Rye Cove will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Black Raiders enter the match with a 4-4 record after their 49-12 league win over Castlewood (Castlewood, VA).
The Panthers (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Golden Wave enter the Black Diamond match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Grundy held off Hurley (Hurley, VA), 42-18, in a league match.
