New York High School Football - Xavier topples Moore Catholic
October 21, 2023: New York, NY 10011 The Xavier Knights (New York, NY) football defeated the visiting Moore Catholic Mavericks (Staten Island, NY), 22-8 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Knights face the St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings (Staten Island, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 28. Xavier will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 2-4 record after their 42-6 non-league win over St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY).
The Mavericks (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Mt. St. Michael Academy (Bronx, NY). The Mountaineers enter the non-league bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Mt. St. Michael Academy lost by Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY), 42-6, in a non-league bout.
