Delaware High School Soccer - Smyrna nudges St. Andrew's
October 21, 2023: Middletown, DE 19709 Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host St. Andrew's Cardinals (Middletown, DE), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE) in a Henlopen - North challenge, on Tuesday, October 24. Smyrna will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Hodgson Vo-Tech (Newark, DE).
The Cardinals now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Appoquinimink for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 24. St. Andrew's will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Salesianum (Wilmington, DE). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-4.
